Who's Who

Rev. Julie Stoneberg

Rev. Julie Stoneberg
Minister

Rev. Stoneberg began her ministry with the Unitarian Fellowship of Peterborough in August 2007. Hailing from Minneapolis, Julie obtained a Masters of Divinity from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California, and most recently served Lakehead Unitarian Fellowship in Thunder Bay, ON.

Julie’s theology is grounded in process and community…we are all on an unfinished journey that is best traveled in the company of others. In addition, she believes that our lived lives, our individual experiences, provide the context in which we create our beliefs and ideas. What we think and what we do matters.

Andrew Dennis

Andrew Dennis
Lay Chaplain

Andrew Dennis is in his third year as Lay Chaplain with our congregation. He enjoys meeting people that have requested our services, learning a little about the unique personalities and histories of the individuals the ceremony is to be designed for. Then, using that information shared, to organize a cermony that reflects their values and beliefs and encompasses the wishes of the client. Each ceremony that is created differs from another and keeps this work interesting for him.

Recognizing the importance of the transitions in our lives that we all experience and that we choose to mark these in different ways, Andrew considers it an honour to be asked to share in creating and officiating at a ceremony designed to commemorate those special and important moments in people's lives.

Ruth Strunz

Ruth Strunz
Lay Chaplain

Ruth Strunz comes to her work as  Lay Chaplain with the belief that rituals and ceremonies are a vital aspect of our passage through life together as human beings. As the mother of 3 children and a professional in the fields of education and autism, Ruth values the opportunity to pause and be with people, at important and meaningful times in their lives. In this spirit, Ruth will work with you to create a ceremony that reflects your individuality and creativity, while celebrating the role of community in your rite of passage.
