Upcoming Sunday Services

The Meaning of Work

Sunday Service - September 5, 7:00pm
Rev. Julie Stoneberg

It’s Labour Day weekend, when we honour workers everywhere. It is often said that work is the “second place” in our lives, following our home. Does it deserve such high standing? What value is work? How can we keep it in perspective?

There’s a Thread that We Follow

Sunday Service - September 12, 10:00am
Rev. Julie Stoneberg

Music by Resonance

Multigenerational Ingathering Water Ceremony

In his poem, “The Way It Is”, William Stafford suggests that amidst change, there remains a thread – something that doesn’t change. While we hold this thread, we can’t get lost, and as a community, we continually weave the threads that hold us and sustain us. Bring a bit of water from your life to add to our common bowl.

Where Do We Come From? Where Are We Going?

Sunday Service - September 19, 10:00am
Rev. Julie Stoneberg

Roots hold me close, wings set me free. Our annual theme this year is designed to help us more deeply understand and connect with our roots in order that we might be prepared to fly. Don’t miss this introductory exploration.

Religious Exploration: Registration and Ingathering

Beyond Radical Hospitality

Sunday Service - September 26, 10:00am
Rev. Julie Stoneberg

Oh, enough already! Haven’t we heard enough about offering hospitality? Apparently not.

Note: Book sale and “parking lot potluck” to follow the service

Where Do We Come From? We’re Turning FIFTY!

Sunday Service - October 3, 10:00am
Rev. Julie Stoneberg

Music by The Occasional Singers

Continuing with our annual theme, we’ll take a close look at our history. Were we conceived in 1961, or can we trace our heritage much further? What do we take from our past that informs and creates our future?
